For a year, we worked alongside the architect, GC, and stair manufacturer to create the best plan for both the Corian surround and the wood interior on the seamless helix of the stair. The “tail” seen connecting from the last stair on level 2 down into the desk on the lobby level was not a curve like the rest of the stair, but a screw-shaped spiral, which gets tighter in radius as it gets closer to the desk. It had to tie perfectly into the radius of the prebuilt desk. We were all so proud of this finished project. And a lot wiser and more adaptable than when we started.
